Have you ever just been having a quiet moment and something whispers to you, “this ain’t it”. And you think, OMG, now what? This can often take the form of sluggishness or being tired, having difficulty focusing on ordinary tasks, or just vague emotional discomfort. These feelings are both normal and extraordinary at the same time.
First, you have to discover whether the tiredness is from lack of rest, unmet nutritional needs or spiritual (nothing to do with religion) fatigue. The best way to find out is to address the first two, and if the uneasiness remains, then you know you’ll need to go a little deeper.
Often, when experiencing a spiritual misalignment, whether gradually or suddenly you can do one of two things. Adjust to the discomfort, normalize it and just keep it moving, (which doesn’t help the matter at all, or switch direction, either once or several times, which can be challenging and uncomfortable but amazingly rewarding.
I’m LifeBliss Lisa, your happiness lifestyle bestie.
Ok, really I’ve been a coach for years. But right now I’m tired of that format. I want to try something new. I am working to actively skyrocket my quality of life and I invite you to join me on this quest.
This looks different for everyone. For me it means major changes to everything in my life, which can be scary, even for someone like me with years of lifestyle coach training and experience. The process of constantly adjusting for clarity, reprioritization of core values, authentic decision making, creating rituals, staying on track and dealing with obstacles and changes is the same, no matter the magnitude of the changes, so I’m hoping my navigation of big change will help you too.
Even if you feel like you are not in a position to make major outward life changes at this time, changing your mindset and your levels of daily joy are always options, no matter your circumstances, even if you were in jail (I hope you’re not).
Here’s a quick and dirty summary of the situation I’m dealing with: I’m 55, contemplating divorce after 30 years, an empty nester facing the opportunity of a lifetime to leave the US to live abroad in a place where the quality of life is better, the daily pace is slower and I can extract exponentially more joy out of each day than I do now.
