So it’s now the beginning of the summer cookout season and my bff Reba had a lot of herbs leftover from a party that would have gone bad so what did we do? We made a green seasoning that can be used as the base for just about anything from marinades to soups and sauces. This is a very typical Saturday afternoon for us, get in the kitchen and start pulling stuff out and playing around.
Because as you know, I don’t do recipes here is a photo essay of how we made it, and this is the perfect thing to do this way since this seasoning is made throughout the Caribbean and Africa and people just make it according to their tastes and available ingredients so it’s flexible.
Once it’s finished it stores well in the refrigerator but I’ll probably freeze portions of mine in an ice tray and put them in a ziplock bag to use when needed. So below is just a photo explanation of how we made this masterpiece. Add or eliminate ingredients as you see fit.
Enjoy your green seasoning! Let me know in the comments how yours turned out.
